The Man

Mark combines his talents as a vocalist and guitarist to create a soulful, compelling jazz performance. The music includes: classic jazz standards (30s, 40s, and 50s), swing, blues, bossa nova, and jazz interpretations of modern hits.

As a guitar player, Mark was an original member of the swing band "BIG RUDE JAKE". He's toured the United States and Canada, playing the hot spots: The Viper Room & The Billboard Live - Los Angeles, House of Blues - Chicago, and The Bottom Line - New York. The band released 2 CD's and 4 videos, and topped the indie charts.

In 1997 Mark began his solo career after studying with the legendary jazz be-bop vocalist Sheila Jordan. Since then he has been making a name for himself in the local jazz scene, performing regularly at the REX HOTEL, GATE 403, and other jazz venues.

Mark knows how to fill a room with warmth and laughter, elegance and romance. He shines as a performer and leader in front of any size ensemble. It's full participation. Not a soul can sit still during his set.
